For the holiday season, the N°5 Eau de Parfum purse atomizer is adorned with a new accessory that enhances its golden lines. It can be worn on the wrist thanks to a jeweled chain bearing Gabrielle Chanel’s lucky number, 5, and a comet, the House’s iconic symbol. A limited-edition item to collect and enjoy again and again.

The purse atomizer comes in a blue woven pouch, embossed with the gold CHANEL signature. It includes three refills.

Composition
The Eau de Parfum draws its inspiration from Extrait N°5, sharing the same floral, aldehydic signature. This floral bouquet, composed around rose and jasmine, is enlivened at the top by citrus notes. Aldehydes lend it a unique presence, and the soft touch of vanilla creates an infinitely sensual trail.

INSPIRATION
In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel commissioned Ernest Beaux to create “a woman’s perfume that smells like a woman,” something rare and powerful. The perfumer-creator proposed a visionary composition that employed an unprecedented use of aldehydes. Mademoiselle chose version number 5 of the fragrance and decided to keep this number as its simple name. For this new perfume, she selected a striking bottle, adorned with a white label and topped with a faceted cap. In 1986, Jacques Polge, the Perfumer-Creator for the House of CHANEL since 1978, reinterpreted his predecessor’s olfactory composition to create a more expansive version of N°5: the Eau de Parfum.
